2006 Wrap-Up

Favorite show of 2006: Cracker - I've liked them longer than any of the other bands I saw this year and I only had to go as far as the 9:30 Club to see them. And they would have played even longer if 9:30 hadn't pulled the plug on them at 1:30 am.

Favorite Coheed show of 2006: April 11 in Norfolk - Claudio played the guitar with a piece of fence! Come on!

Favorite 3 Inches of Blood Show of 2006:
Hamilton, Ontario on ma b-day! Yay!

Most neck-tattooed: thanks to addition of their new bass player, Bury Your Dead

Best performance by management/road crew (who should obviously be presented with a trophy called a 'roadie' - design entries welcome in the comments): Chuck - who even put up with me in another country [very close runner-up: The Markness]

Best bands I saw for the first time this year: Destruction (fucking unbelievable), From a Second Story Window, Municipal Waste, and of course Early Man (I would have taken more photos if I would have known they would use them all over the place)

Stats:
Total number of Coheed shows: 7, in two countries and 5 States
Total number of 3 Inches of Blood shows: 4, in two countries and 2 States
Total number of metal shows: 31 (more than 54% - although only one featuring Still Remains)

Most surreal moment of awesomeness: Sitting at a table on a tour bus with Claudio, Josh, Travis, Pete and Gabe in Munich Germany listening to Led Zeppelin

Goals for 2007:
I'd like to meet Mastodon. I can't really think of anything else right now.
