Coheed 78: The Karaoke-ning

Wednesday, August 14, 2024 Coheed & Cambria #78 The Anthem Washington DC Coheed is on a "co-headlining" tour with Primus. Apparently just before the show, Claudio was advised to not sing at all and totally rest his voice. The rest of the band came out and Travis and Josh told the crowd that we would have to sing all the lyrics because Claudio couldn't make a sound. All things considered, it went pretty well. They even played a new song that I hadn't listened to yet and people seemed into it. I think they subbed in a couple older songs to the set that hopefully got more people singing along. Chonnye came out and sang two songs and Dirty Enr even sang one with her. Honestly , just sub in Chondra until Claudio is better. I was entertained regardless. The opener was Puddles Pity Party and I wasn't previously aware that I needed a clown singing a mashup of the Titanic theme and Enter Sandman but I am now. I looked at the Primus set list in advance and they only had like two songs I recognized on the list so I just watched one and went home. As someone who barely played bass for one semester of middle school jazz band, I appreciate the talent.
