So it was actually less than a year since the first time I saw Cellador, but I was pretty excited to see them again. Based on their numerous myspace bulletins, I had expected their hometown show to be pretty packed, but sadly it was not. We had a little trouble finding a parking spot so we probably missed the first song and a half of their set, but the rest of it was awesome and we didn't miss my favorite A Sign Far Beyond. Cellador is back to being a four-piece band after the departure of their other guitarist who had moved from Brazil to Omaha but left when they didn't tour as much as promised (or so says their myspace). At any rate, I thought it was fantastic and hope to see a lot more of them in the future. [Not like that...OK maybe, but actually none of them are jailbait - the two I talked to are older than my little brother]
Ah, The Black Dahlia Murder. Again. For the 3rd time this year. Using pretty much the same set list and stage banter. Again. Where's my other Metal Blade men when you need them?
In other news, Omaha is amazing! If you had asked me before I would have told you that Nebraska is not even real but it was actually really cool. They seem to have a pretty good music scene and even have their own Death Metal Network. Sweet.
