Children of Bodom
Trivium
9:30 Club

For some reason this show started really early (impending snow, perhaps?) and so we showed up around 9 to find that Trivium was almost finished already. We totally missed Amon Amarth, so uh, yeah. Trivium was good; couldn't see much. That song they played about the dead guy was a great song! [As a tribute to Dimebag, Trivium played 'Walk' which many of you may know is by Pantera - these kids behind me thought it was a great Trivium song...]

Children of Bodom...did I see them before? Maybe. They put on a great show - set must have been at least and hour and a half long. The mosh pit on the floor was apparently very courteous, with people picking up shoes and actually taking care of others. I smuggled in my baby camera and got two focused photos (I had to turn off the auto-focus beam to avoid detection). They had several breaks, one of which included a keyboard/lead guitar duel and another which was an extended drum solo.
Overall, fun evening.
