Drop Science is a local band - pretty good though. Metal-core kinda stuff. One of their riffs was definitely from something else (Avenged Sevenfold, maybe?).
So, like, does anybody remember that Beverly Hills 90210 spin-off The Heights about that crappy band and their sideburns and their slutty girlfriends? Anyway, imagine what they would be like in real life if they were a Good Charlotte rip-off band with ridiculous scenester hair and rock-video-girl girlfriends...and there you have JParis. (see above ironic photo)
With a name like Melee you might expect to see a hardcore band, but your expectations would be wrong. Very wrong. Hailing from CA, they sound like Keane meets The Ataris. They put on a fun, energetic set for the small crowd. I'd love to see them again sometime.

Anberlin rocks! They rock! It was the first time seeing them and they put on a really great live show. Stephen's voice sounded like it was going to give out but they played a pretty long set, including two encore songs, chosen by the audience. Since it's the start of a new week: Don't stop a-rockin!
